課程概述

This optional course aims to let student design and materialize experimental prototypes of water architecture. Students will work in teams together with students from other departments and schools. The course will feature two different design-build projects, scheduled respectively at the beginning and end of the Spring semester. The project outcomes will be temporary waterscape installations like bridges, floats, water gardens, etc. To complete these projects, students will need to mobilize basic notions of structural and fluid mechanics, including statics of connected rigid bodies, hydrostatics, and basic hydrodynamics, with a particular focus on the assessment of stability. 

課程目標
Learn to connect theory, design and construction through the construction of temporary experimental prototypes.
Learn team and project management from design to construction.
Learn to collaborate with students of other disciplines like architecture, landscape design, and hydraulics. 
課程要求
Simultaneous enrollment in the courses Theory of Structures and Fluid Mechanics.
